Who We Are
Three Rivers Eskrima Concepts (TREC) West Palm Beach is a satellite school of Three Rivers Eskrima Concepts headquartered in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Three River's Eskrima Concepts was founded in June 2008 by Inayan Lahong Guro Joe Walls. Prior to that time TREC West Palm Beach was still a satellite school under Lahong Guro Walls, who was operating the Pittsburgh location of the Inayan School of Eskrima under Tagaturo Steve Klement from 2005 to 2008. During this entire time, what is now TREC West Palm Beach was being operated and taught by Inayan Katalungan Guro Josh Leheny, whom Lahong Guro Walls has recognized as not only an advanced student, but as an instructor and aid in spreading the art of Inayan Eskrima.
Like its parent school, TREC West Palm Beach is a member of Inayan Systems International. It is for this reason that we have the privilege to carry the name of Inayan Systems West Palm Beach. Inayan Systems International was formed by a core group of Mangisursuro Inay's senior Guros upon his passing in 2000. The goal of this core group, the Inayan Brotherhood of Eskrima (IBE), was to help perpetuate the spread of Inayan Eskrima according to Suro's wishes. Inayan Systems International was founded and operated today by IBE member, Tagapayo Cory Hanosh. Under Tagapayo Hanosh's direction, Inayan Systems International continues to spread and has become known here in the United States and across the globe.
What does this mean for a student at Three Rivers Eskrima Concepts-Inayan Systems West Palm Beach? This means that the student has the ability to learn Inayan Eskrima from a lineage that can be directly traced to Mangisursuro Inay. Additionally, by being a recognized member of both organizations, we have a wealth of knowledge and support to pull from to provide the best instruction possible in Inayan Eskrima and self defense as a whole.
